They were fantastic, their knowledge and friendliness were most appreciated. We would defiantly go with them again.
Awesome clients !!! cant wait to go again
As someone who doesn’t fish, I booked this trip mainly for my significant other to paddlefish. Neither of us had ever fished for spoonbill or used a guide so we weren’t sure what to expect. It was really cold and we booked a 7am trip. I was worried about freezing and four hours of boredom. I WAS WRONG!
The captain and his deck hand Travis were AMAZING! They made sure I was toasty warm and they were incredibly personable and so much fun. We didn’t know what we were doing, and both truly have the hearts of teachers and were incredibly patience. They let you do as much or as little as you want. If anyone is holding back because they don’t like certain aspects of fishing, don’t hesitate - BOOK THE TRIP!
I saw lots of others on the water not as comfy, not catching as many as we were, or just seemingly making things a lot harder. We were first class all the way. They even cleaned them and bagged them up. These are the guys you want!

My two boys, ages 10 and 12, and I headed out with Captain Steve and his deck hand Travis. It was about 42 degrees when we left the landing at 0630. We were dressed warm but Captain Steve’s boat was covered so the wind and light rain were unnoticeable. We never got cold or wet. We caught 12 paddle fish and pulled in maybe 7 or 8 non-target species. Our trip was earlier in the paddlefish season so we caught a lot of short fish, only one was a keeper. It sounded like most of the previous groups had more keepers than what we got that day, but it was not because of a lack of effort on our part or Captain Steve’s. That is just fishing for you. We were really happy that we caught so many fish and got to go home with a Missouri paddlefish. Not the best weather but an awesome day.

Thanks for the review Lee. It was a pleasure to meet you and your boys. Looking forward to seeing you guys again!!!
Captain Steve and Travis run a top notch show, everything was flawless from start to finish. The weather was far from ideal and they still put us on the fish. They are not afraid to let you get right in the action and help with gear and have no problem explaining why and how they do what they do. Do not hesitate on booking a trip with them! 10/10 would recommend, we are already looking forward to next year.
This was a bucket list trip and it far exceeded what I ever thought it could be. We boated so many fish we literally lost count. From our pictures though, it was at least 18. From the time we pushed off the ramp to the time we pulled out of the water, these guys were 100% committed to us catching fish and giving us a quality experience. We brought home 3 well cleaned and cared for keepers and a lifetime of memories.
Thank you for your wonderful review. It was a pleasure meeting you and fishing with you. We hope to see you again.
