Awesome day fishing. Captain Cody was very friendly and patient teaching my dad and I the new to us fishing techniques we needed to catch fish. We got into a bunch of speckled sea trout right away. We caught pompano, lady fish and jack crevelle. Hooked a good sized snook but lost it. We will be booking a trip again next time we visit Florida! Thanks Cody!

As an avid fisherman, I often travel and book local guides to explore and fish the back country, and hard to reach fisheries.  Southwest Florida has one of the best fisheries in the world. This was our first saltwater fishing experience. Cody put us on the fish and took care of everything. He was great with my 9 year old son, and really taught him a lot. I’ve fished with some of the best guides in other locations and this was totally on par. Communication to coordinate meet-up was quick and easy. If you’re trying to pick between guides don’t hesitate to chose Make a Wake fishing.

We signed up for a half day of nearshore fishing with Captain Cody but the seas were too rough. He recommended that to get us on some fish that we hit the mangroves. He was right, we got five species and had a really nice time. We were not able to keep any of them due to various regulations combined with the red tide, however we had a great time and he was very good company. He clearly knows what he’s doing. 

There were other boats around us and they did not seem to be catching any fish. Captain Cody put us on the bite!
