We could not be happier with this charter.  My family booked the 5 hour charter on 7/27/22.  We stayed at Massey’s Landing campground and the boat was docked two minutes from the campground.  Captain Demetri was patient and understanding with ALL of my questions prior to booking.  When the day of our trip came - it was raining in the morning and he pushed the trip back a bit so the rain could let up since he didn’t have a later charter.  Captain Demetri said he wanted our kids to have the best experience possible.

My family booked this charter and we were a family of 4.  My kids are 7 and 9 and Captain Demetri worked so well with the kids to help them cast and catch fish.  He was so patient and kind and you can tell how much he loves kids by the way he was with my children.  He would spend the time to catch a fish on the line and hand the pole over to let them take over.  They said it was one of the favorite days ever!

Captain Demetri certainly knows his fishing!  If were weren’t having luck in a certain spot he would move us to where the fish were.  He really cared about us having the best experience ever.  He spotted a turtle in the ocean and turned the boat around to get closer so my kids could see it because they were so excited.  Overall we had 4 keepers but caught around 50 fish.  It was incredible for both my husband and I -  and especially our kids.

I would recommend Captain Demetri and the Dorado Loco to anyone and everyone.  I have been on many fishing charters in my life but this was one of the best.  And it was all due to Captain Demetri - he made the day special for all of us!

Had a great trip with Captain Demetri. My family of 4 went out about 15 miles into the ocean and founds some great fishing spots. Caught a bunch of sea bass, ribbons, and a flounder. A lot of throwbacks, but plenty of action. And we had enough keepers for a great dinner. Demetri was fun and informative and led us on a great trip. When we got back, he cleaned and filleted our catch. It was fun trip for the family. Would definitely recommend.

This was an amazing experience to say the least!! There were 2 in our party and the captain was extremely friendly and thoughtful. He was understanding of the potential motion sickness that I have. We got to experience schools of dolphins, cool fishing, going out a few miles and seeing the coast from a completely different point of view. We caught and released a couple cool fish in the ocean then headed back to the inlet area and caught and kept some beautiful flounder. Captain Demitrti was attentive to where to put us to have the best chances to catch. We had a great time and look forward to coming back next year to fish with Captain Demitrti.

This trip was a bucket list item for me, and my daughter came along with me.  From the very first Captain Demetri was cordial and accommodating to a couple of ocean newbies. His knowledge of the fishing grounds and attention to detail were first-rate.  We started off looking for sea bass and flounder, and found a few small fish, but nothing to take home.  That didn’t deter the captain.  When we weren’t finding suitable fish, he immediately suggested moving to another spot.  We had to try several before we found a good one, but once we did we caught quite a few.  It was extremely enjoyable for both of us, and our impression was that the captain genuinely was enjoying himself as well.  We are considering a repeat trip in the future.  I would recommend that first timers take one of the shorter trips first.  While being on the ocean all day sounds very enjoyable, and it was, it wasn’t without its challenges.  All in all, I’m glad I chose a slightly shorter trip for this one, but I’m looking forward to one of the deep water trips, sometime in the future.

Great day out on the water.  When fishing was overall down the captain put us on a bunch of sea bass and flounder then filleted them up at the dock. Go with him if you want the best chance to catch fish!
