We had such a nice experience with Cpt Gordie and RIPP.  A lot of fish, a lot of camping equipment (us) and a lot of fun.  Thank you for discovering the Canadian Point et see you soon.

Even during Hurricane Eta, Captain Gordy took us out for a last minute 2-person inshore trip on his flats boat. We started by netting bait then quickly got on a hot snook bite on the rocks near shore. After all of the skin on my thumb had been ripped off by the many snook we caught we decided to head just a bit deeper in search of a larger target species. In the rain and wind, and with light equipment, I hooked into a 100lb Tarpon that put on a show and towed us around for an hour. The trip could only be summarized as epic. Gordy is equipped with 3 generations of Florida fishing knowledge and boy does it show. Stand-up guy with (mostly) funny jokes provides for an awesome time spent wetting lines. Would recommend his boat and expertise to all fishing skill/experience levels, you won’t be disappointed!

What an amazing day on the water! I don’t get out on the water as much as I would like so I figured booking a trip with a professional to make the most of my time. I was blown away by the day with captain Gordon. I was expecting to maybe see some fish and catch one or two small ones but wow we ended up catching a bunch and a couple I swear were 50+ pounds! Also, was not expecting to see dolphins just chilling out near where we started the adventure. Truly an incredible experience. I will definitely will be booking again soon and am already planning on bringing friends back next time!

This was our family’s 1st time off shore fishing and Captain Gordan made the experience one we will never forgot! As a local, he knows all the fishing hot spots as well as the “stories of the sea.” We felt very comfortable with him manning the boat. He had all the lines and equipment so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. He even had spare dramamine for us! Captain Gordan has patience for days and I was very impressed with his natural ability with children. We caught several large barracudas’ which was a fun process. Captain Gordan went the extra mile for us and we are counting the days that we can go out on his boat again!

There is no way that I can put into words my trip with this awesome crew, it is something that you just have to experience yourself.

First off, I get seasick like nobody’s business, but the boat was extremely steady and i was able to make a whole trip without getting seasick! The fishing was unreal, obviously, just look at my photos. We caught monster red grouper, snapper, amberjack, barracuda, sharks, and a huge Goliath grouper which was on my bucket list.

Even though we killed it with the fishing, that’s not all charter fishing is to me, it’s about the people and the crew you go with. After all, you are stuck out in the ocean with them and I can’t say enough about the kindness and patience that Lucky Strike Fishing Charters showed me and the other guys on the trip!
