Captain Mark was very accommodating, but I got the impression that he was in retirement and could not find anyone to run the charter for that day. I was quite a bit disappointed in the lack of tackle and fishing equipment he had on board, and we ran out of the bait, live shrimp, that was apparently his favorite choice of bait. I like to have a variety of baits on board in the event that the target fish are finicky. I specifically identified flounder and red fish as the target fish, and when we were unable to locate them in the few spots we fished, we wound up out the inlet fishing for Spanish mackerel. At the end of the day we had 1 red fish and a croaker in the cooler. I was hoping for, at least, a 1 man limit on reds and flounder with me and my wife on the boat. I have been on other inshore charters that did not disappoint, even when the target fish were hard to find, the Captains were very professional and had a network of resources for locating fish, this was by far the worst. I couldnโt help but feel that I wasted my time and money.

Good evening Bruce, I appreciate the review even if it is negative. First off I had live shrimp, live mud minnows and live fiddler crabs. I also have about 20 bags of artificial baits. I normally donโt do top water plugs but had brought a couple of them since you requested it.ย Not sure what happened to them but you found one on the dash that we had from a couple of months ago. You even gave that a try.ย Iโm just glad you didnโt mention that we caught some shorts and had to throw them back. I am really thankful you didnโt mention the fact that I gave yโall an extra two hours trying to make sure you had a good time. After I received a 40.00 tip I then realized I shouldnโt have given you the extra 2 hours and just came on back when your time was up. I guess thatโs why they call it fishing and not catching.ย Not sure why you didnโt use your regular captain because normally when you find a great captain, you give them repeat business. Something sounds fishy to me. Sorry you had such a bad time or is it the fact that your wife out fished you ( The Professional). Anyway have a good day, see you never again. (Captain Mark)

Captain Bryan was skilled, knowledgeable, and funny. We caught over 40 fish and landed 7 different species including flounder and a bull shark. The scenery was like taking a boat ride through a nature preserve that was loaded with countless birds to watch while fishing.ย My wife and two sons had a lot of laughs and caught a lot of fish. Bryan was knowlegeable and enjoyable to work with.ย Our ages ranged from 13 to 72.ย We werenโt able to keep any of our fish but everyone caught something.ย One drum was actually too big to keep!ย We even had a medical emergency (no fault of theirs) and it was handled very well, to everyoneโs relief.ย We would definitely book with Hooked Up again!
