Trip started out with a sailfish hook up in first hour. My son battled and landed this beauty. The rest of the day was slow, but thats how it goes some times. I’ve chartered trips before and you can tell when the crew wants a fish as much as the clients. These guys were really into it. Changed baits and fished hard. Did some bottom fishing to catch some dinner to mix it up a little. (Grouper, Dragonfish) A Nice platform for small group of 2-4. You can save some money by not going to Los Suenos and chartering one of the big boats. All in all it was a nice trip with a fun crew.

BOOK, BOOK, BOOK!!! Tip: best way to communicate with Henry (boat owner) is calling and he answered immediately. Captain George and Mate Will actually run the trips and where amazing! Some of the best guys you’ll ever meet. Stayed in Jaco and hired a driver to take us, which is only a few minutes away to “the beach” (all locals know where this is) where you will take a water taxi to the boat. We took about an hour to get to our fishing spot. Shortly after starting…FISH ON! They delivered not one but several mahi-mahi and a sword fish. Infact we were the only boat to put fish on boat. We had a great lunch (subway subs, fruit etc. for $10 pp, option that Henry offered), then Will made sashimi on boat which I wish I had a photo of…it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! I can’t say enough about these guys! I highly recommended them and wouldn’t blink an eye to rebook when we return. Came to Costa Rica to fish and wasn’t disappointed! Would give 10 stars if I could!!! ??

Captain Henry and crew Nicolas both did all the necessary to provide a great fishing experience, fishing was a little slow but we caugh Sailfish and Dorado. I will come back to do fishing with Allin by sure. Thank you!
Hooked a sailfish right off the start but we lost it. Around 45 mins to a hour later got another one and was able to bring him in. Great time, the deck mate does good work. Bottom fished on the way back for some fish to bring home. Only down fall I tried to contact him before hand and got no response. When it says on the beach you meet him standing under a hut on the beach and a water taxi brings you out to the boat.
We tried to contact Henry Reyes numerous times but never could get any logistics before the trip. Luckily we had time to find where we supposed to meet the captain. Fish licence office in Los Sueños showed us exactly where we park and meet Mako 28.boat.we were greeted by captain but it wasn’t Henry Reyes . We took a water taxi to the boat. Again from previous emails we were told to wear closed toed shoes. We had to remove shoes to get on a water taxi and a whole time we were on the boat we were bare feet. Another problem wS you told me to pay directly to captain but never mentioned we pay l $600 in cash. Fishing poker need to make sure of that. I had to go from Heredia beach to Los Sueños ATM to get cash After we were on Allin’s sport fishing boat. Lost 45 mins. Luckily two crew members took a very good care of us. Helped us catch MahiMahi and Groupa. Just as we were giving up on more big fish, Crew Tom is to fish bottom fish. Caught snappers and Deabro fish. Saw dolphins, a turtle and Frigate birds. In the end it worked out. You and Mr Reyes need to send more detailed instructions how to start the day and what to bring!
