We tried to contact Henry Reyes numerous times but never could get any logistics before the trip. Luckily we had time to find where we supposed to meet the captain. Fish licence office in Los Sueños showed us exactly where we park and meet Mako 28.boat.we were greeted by captain but it wasn’t Henry Reyes . We took a water taxi to the boat. Again from previous emails we were told to wear closed toed shoes. We had to remove shoes to get on a water taxi and a whole time we were on the boat we were bare feet. Another problem wS you told me to pay directly to captain but never mentioned we pay l $600 in cash. Fishing poker need to make sure of that. I had to go from Heredia beach to Los Sueños ATM to get cash After we were on Allin’s sport fishing boat. Lost 45 mins. Luckily two crew members took a very good care of us. Helped us catch MahiMahi and Groupa. Just as we were giving up on more big fish, Crew Tom is to fish bottom fish. Caught snappers and Deabro fish. Saw dolphins, a turtle and Frigate birds. In the end it worked out. You and Mr Reyes need to send more detailed instructions how to start the day and what to bring!

Awesome day on the water! Caught a huge sailfish . Started the day with Dorado on the fly. Henry and Carlos want to land fish as much or more than the client. Thanks for making it happen. Must gusto!
The big fish bite was slow in the region during our trip (New year’s week), but the captain was very forthcoming and did everything he could to put us on some fish. We trolled in the morning with no luck, then went out a spot where we did some drop shot fishing with great luck. We caught 3 large red snapper and tons of smaller fish (grouper, dragon, etc.) We then went back to trolling and landed a nice Mahi Mahi. I highly recommend taking fish over to Lemon Zest in Jaco, they prepared it amazingly and we ate like kings with the anglers dinner. Overall great experience, would highly recommend. Just remember fishing requires a little luck in being at the right place at the right time, and always tip your crew. Will, the deckhand, was busting his a** all day and was very friendly and fun to hangout with. If you don’t want to pay an arm and a leg to go out on one of the fishing yachts in Los Suenos, I highly recommend going out with Allin! ?Pura vida
