We would 100% recommend Southern Country Charters and Captain Payton.ย Our trip on July 10th with him was excellent!ย He is a knowledgeable guide and got us on fish fast for our inshore trip.ย The process from booking to receiving our cleaned, read to cook catch was a breeze.ย Payton is friendly and conversive.ย I would recommend him for both experienced and novice fishing.ย We caught a lot of fish, learned new things, and had a blast.ย We will absolutely book with Captain Payton and Southern Country Charters the next time we are in Destin!

Iโm an experienced angler. This outfit is not interested in going the distance needed to give you a chance at good fish during the tough part of the season. Seems they want to take your money, take you just out of the inlet to catch some dinks and back in. Iโm definitely not satisfied for what I paid for.

To address the above comments made about our outfit, Capt. Dustin did not just โtake you just out the inletโ as he went 10 miles in bouncy conditions to get to where the keeper fish have been biting because you explicitly told him you wanted meat to take home. After getting you a limit of vermillion snapper, he then took you fishing for bigger snapper and sharks to get a good fight like you requested. Iโm not sure what more you wanted, but we can only do what is legally allowed by the state and get you on the fish that are biting. And I can promise you Capt. Dustin did his job to the best of his ability.

There could not have been a better guy to get as a captain and a deckhand than Magnum. For a first time deep sea fishing having someone so knowledgeable was awesome. While the fish didnโt cooperate so well magnum worked his ass off to try to give us every opportunity to catch fish. Will definitely recommend people to the charter but also will be back

I have seen charters have a captain and a deck hand. Magnum took us out solo and kept up just fine. I enjoyed his knowledge of the city. Being a local, he offered some neat information and stories. He was easy to talk to and put us on fish. We did some trolling and some bottom fishing. 4 hours went by fast. Made some memories and had a good time. Roll Tide, Magnum
