I participated in a fishing charter here last weekend. We were told we would fish for small fish for an hour (Bonita), larger fish the next hour (sailfish, barracuda), and trophy fish the last few hours (swordfish). What we werenโt told was that if we didnโt want to pay the $2,000+ taxidermy fee for larger fish that we would just troll the mouth of the inlet for 3 and half hours straight. Had you disclosed this in your charters description we wouldโve found elsewhere to charter. I have a feeling I know why you didnโt though as Iโm sure itโs bad for business when you tell people that before they owe you money because youโre already out on the water. For a boat that lists all different kinds of methods and techniques to catch diverse fish this trip was a pretty piss poor example of that and when trolling stopped bringing in fish captain Anthony didnโt change techniques at all. โWe canโt control the bite, a good fisherman would know thatโ. A good fisherman would also know to change something up if youโre not getting any bites for 3 hours. Itโs evident in the reviews - if someone writes a good review you thank them for writing a โfantastic reviewโ, if someone writes a bad review you thank them for their โunsolicited feedbackโ. I sincerely doubt you pride yourself on customer service when thatโs your reaction to criticism. And yes, captain Anthony was smoking cigarettes and playing on his phone virtually the entire time. Iโm not sure what reaching out to you privately would accomplish other than keep a bad review off of your page so Iโm writing it here. Buyer beware. Come with deep pockets or not at all.

1. If you are such an AVID fisherman you would understand that fishing isnโt always that great. you have good days and you have not so good days. We have no control over that. 2.ย As far as the pictures of the boat, in the description it states what kind of boat you will be fishing on. The pictures are very recent and I believe there are plenty of pictures and videos of fish being caught on the boat. As far as being โfooledโ no one was fooled here. 3. Yes there are a lot of pictures of customers holding fish at the dock but every one of those pictures are verified by the customers before I can even post them. So I donโt understand what you are trying to prove here. 4. Fishing in Pompano there plenty of spots and Iโm pretty sure captain Anthony moved around a lot to try and catch you fish-ย fishing was very slow that day. 5. Chain smoke cigarettes and played on his phone- I donโt believe that at all 6. No water provided at all- it clearly states on the listing that you are more than welcome to bring your own cooler for drinks. No where in the description states we provide water. 7. On control of the lines- Jared you booked a sport fishing trip. Customers on these trips do not hold the rods and reels- again if you are an AVID fisherman you would know this. If you wanted to hold the rod and reel in hand you should have booked a fishing trip on a local drift boat. 8. I donโt have to explain myself again about the pictures of the boat or the fish being caught. 9. We donโt fish tournaments as you stated. 10. You stated in the message about catching mahi, and I was upfront with you on what was bitting this time of the year. I could have lied and sold you a โdreamโ but we donโt run out company like that. 11. No where does it state on our 4 hr sport fishing charters anything about Sword fishing- 12. In our description we clearly state: we will target such as King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Barracuda and Tuna. We can only try our best. 13. Not getting bites for 3 hrs. I believe everyone caught fish the entire trip.

Your son got seasick- I sent you over like I do in all of my confirmation text (via fishing booker) on how to prevent/help with seasickness, we cannot help if you or your son cannot handle โmotion sickness- because that is what seasickness isโย you should have taken my advise on how to prevent/help with seasickness. We also gave you the opportunity on rescheduling the fishing trip (most companies will never give you that opportunity) but your response was โi have teenager boys and they can handle itโ
2. you are upset that you guys didnโt catch that many fish. John we CANNOT CONTROL the bite and most people who have never fished before do not understand that. there is NO GUARANTEE in fishing!! If all of us fishermen can guarantee fish every trip we will be millionaires. i suggest next time you should find something else to do with your kids that will guarantee something.

Kevin, donโt forget how abruptly rude you were to me when it came to switching your charter date. You tried to blame the booking on me when you as the customer clearly made the booking yourself (via fishing booker). I had no control over the booking date.ย The minute I got your message, I quickly changed it for you and I didnโt even get a โthank youโ
Kevin, your whole demeanor from the very start was โoffโ . The minute you stepped in the boat you had a โI know it all attitude because you stated in our messages โWe have been members of the USVirgin islands game fishing association for 25 yearsโ Kevin, Iโm sorry to say but it really doesnโt matter where you fished or how long you fished for, we fish a certain way here in south Florida.
When you asked questions like โwhy arenโt we fishing around buoysโ and I told you the answer โWe donโt have fads here we have wrecks โ at one point you tried to prove me wrong by stating the bait we use โgoggle eyesโ was a rock fish and when I showed you and told you what they were you got offended. Iโm not going to tell you that you are right when you are completely wrong, we do this everyday, 365 days a year.ย You forgot to mention that we did catch fish today. But letโs not keep out the good points of the fishing trip and the customer service that Jessica gave you.
