I challenged Capt Brian by saying before we left, this was going to be the highlight of our trip to Charleston. He did no disappoint. “Trophy” redfish and pesky sheepshead. Great fishing but great learning experience. He is a natural teacher. Capt Brian has naturalist knowledge of fish and other shore life.  Committed to maintaining fishery.

Captain Hawkins is very knowledgeable of fishing and hot spots for sheepshead and red drum. He is very patient and taught my boys the different techniques for fishing. We had never been sheepshead fishing before and after he gave us some tips we were pulling them up almost every time we set the line out. I would highly recommend captain Hawkins.

It was our first fishing charter and we had a great time! I wish I had taken some videos of my kid pulling in the huge red fish he caught. He also caught caught a flounder that was bigger than a dinner plate. I caught the Carolina inshore slam (didn’t know that term until Capt Hawkins told me), so yay me! Also my little red fish had 3 dots so it was fancier than the monster red fishes my kid caught.
We were well cared for, trip was well prepped. It was great day and a fun adventure for me & the kid. We will do it

I sent my dad, brother in law and fiancé out with Captain Hawkins. They had an absolute blast. Captain Hawkins was laid back and easy to talk to and made sure they landed some fish despite it not being peak season. They said we have to come back just to go out another trip with Captain Hawkins. 10 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend!

Never fished east coast and so this is first time for me and my kid.  Captain Hawkins was super knowledgeable and will teach you the proper way to catch, fight and handle the fish. 
We started the day early on Captain’s recommendation and that was a blessing because SC is nice and toasty.  Ice cold water were provided and the captain will help you do almost everything except fighting the fish.
I will definitely revisit Captain Hawkins again when I am back in Folly Beach.
