My husband and I were really looking forward to our fishing charter, but unfortunately, it was not the experience we hoped for. The night before, we reached out to the captain about potentially cancelling due to the weather. This is when the captain stated he was recovering from a broken foot but assured us everything would be fine with his foot and the weather would be okay.  Despite these concerns, the captain assured us that everything would be fine and encouraged us to move forward.

Sadly, that reassurance didn’t hold up. Of the six hours we were out, we only had our poles in the water for about an hour. The rest of the time was spent trying to outrun storms. Now, I understand that fishing doesn’t always result in catching fish, but the real disappointment came from how unprepared the captain seemed. The weather made fishing almost impossible, and instead of rescheduling or making any adjustments to the trip, we were left feeling like it was a wasted day on the water.

We were still charged the full price despite the lack of fishing time and the dangerous weather conditions. Given the circumstances, I truly believe the captain should have cancelled and allowed us to reschedule for a safer and more enjoyable experience. I’ve been on plenty of fishing charters, and this one, unfortunately, failed to meet even the basic expectation of actually trying to fish.

I hope this review helps others who are considering booking, especially if the weather looks dicey.

The captain was nice, but there was no fish. I feel that there should’ve been other provisions on the boat to go do different fishing!!  To put people on fish for spending 1200 Bucks !!

Booked a half a day trip.  Wanted to catch tarpon and was told that was a good way to go.  The Captain informed us the night before that he was sending his son instead of himself.  4 hours of being on a boat and not one bite with 3 anglers.  Was given the same lure to use to fish for the entire 4 hours.  We have used other captains before that were very interactive so this was very disappointing to have one that fished and smoked while we caught nothing.  $960.00 (including a 20% tip) to not catch anything and just sit on a boat.  Would not recommend.
