At 6am and after loading at the docks with fuel and bait, we embarked on a scenic 39(+-5) minute boat ride to our fishing spot. Immediately I caught and released a small Dorado. In a very short period of time, I landed another average sized Mahi Mahi. Not much longer, Jose persuaded my wife to land the next one. Sure enough, it was another Dorado, largest of the day. I was kept busy catching and releasing two Needle Fish. Lots of fun!!! What did Jose say about Needle Fish- Mexican Marlin. I could have paid more, but we would have missed out on a great half a day on the water. Thank you!

Full day trip for mahi, bite was steady in the am and then shut off around noon. Crew did their best switching bait and tactics trying to put more in the boat but at the end of the day fishing is fishing. Ended up landing 2 of 7. All in it was a good trip and José and Angel were a pleasure to fish with.
Overall, we had a very nice experience fishing for a few hours in the morning. It was our first time in Cabo and definitely will be back in the near in your future. The only annoying thing, we were not aware that we had to purchase a fishing license, which is a complete rip off for $20 a fisherman, even if not fishing. Then we are required to purchase my faith, which is $35. Definite end of the world, but Samantha just be aware of and bring extra cash with you.
Before we even arrived to the Marlin grounds my arm was cooked from reeling in 25 lbs + Dorado. I stopped counting at 18 fish. All but two were Bulls. We had 4 marlin hit the chuggers but no takers which was fine with me. We had a Wahoo hit as we were pulling in the rods but didn’t hook up.
Awesome trip. Alberto was a fantastic captain that knew exactly where to go and what to do. I look forward to the next trip!

It was very windy but Captain Mario adapted appropriately to the rough conditions. After a slow first couple hours, we ended up catching several fish. Also, after a quiet but patient morning, we switch up the bait and started catching more fish. Mario and Fernando worked hard to put us in fish, they were extremely hospitable and ensured we were comfortable and having fun. Will look for Mahi next time we go fishing!
