My 16 year old son and I booked a half-day with Captain Joey.

Were lucky to get a great day of weather and even luckier to have a great guide.  Got off to a slow start, but Joey quickly moved us to a better spot, and we were pretty much covered up until it was time to head back in.

Captain Joey was super-knowledgeable, with great stories and even drew my 16 year-old a little bit out of his shell.    It was an awesome morning, and we took home some lasting memories (& plenty of fish for dinner, too!).   

If you get a chance to go out with Captain Joey, you shouldn’t miss it.

Captain Joey was great with our kids, 9 and 6.  We did a 3 hour charter for shark fishing.  Unfortunately we did not snag a shark, but we had a great time catching numerous smaller fish while watching the lines.  He was able to make it a great outing despite not getting the big catch, which was out of his control.  Will book again if in the area.

Went out for a 2 hr trip, just wanting to get out on the boat and do some fishing.  Capt. Joe took us on an absolutely beautiful ride into the Everglades to a very remote spot.  Set us up and started catching right away.  Ended up with Dinner and then some.  Captain Joe keeps an immaculate boat and very nice fishing gear.  He had it all dialed in and kept us on the fish the entire trip. 
Highly recommend Captain Joe if you’re in Islamorada looking for a nice charter.

We had a great time fishing with Captain Joey. He has a really nice 26ft Pathfinder, that is a nice ride and easy to fish comfortably with 3 people. We had nice ride and conversation on our way out to a grass flat where Captain Joey put us right on the fish. We caught 5 keeper Sea Trout and about 25 more. We also caught a variety of other like Snapper and Jack, and no fishing trip would be complete without at least 1 catfish. Captain Joey also has nice equipment to fish with and he is quick to get you back fishing if something happens to your line. My family and I will definitely be back to fish with Captain Joey again.
