Perfect day on the river! Jim is an incredible guide: friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and really creates an enjoyable experience for all skill levels. This was my favorite style of fishing: zipping around the river casting and reeling in spinners all day (with some of Jim’s homemade bait). This time of year we literally saw hundreds of huge salmon jumping all up and down the river consistently all day.
We caught our limit of silvers (2 each) and Jim expertly cleaned and filleted our catches right on the boat at the end of the trip. Overall spent about 6-7hrs on the water and it was truly a blast from beginning to end.
I cannot recommend Jim enough as a fishing guide!

My wife and I were on a trip to do some hiking and visit relatives. We decided to book a day of king salmon fishing. We fished the Columbia River near Chinook. Jim has a first rate set up. The boat has plenty of room and his gear was top notch. No one on the water that day seemed to be having much success. But Jim worked hard at trying to put us on fish. By the end of the day we got a couple bites and managed to land one beautiful king salmon. Jim is an extremely knowledgeable guide. He is a very personable guy. We spent the day swapping stories discussing a wide range of topics. We hope to have the opportunity to book him again sometime.

Jim is an amazing guide! From providing step by step instructions on how to best cast, teaching us about his rigs, to keeping us entertained the whole 8 hours, Jim was great company for this trip. Despite going home empty handed (the Steelhead were being difficult lol) we are excited to book another trip with Jim to give Steelhead another go! Thank you Jim, looking forward to our next trip!

The fishing was amazing, it was my first time doing it and I couldn’t be more happy about it. It was fun, entertaining and we just had a great time. My brother had the time of his life and my dad was extremely happy doing something new! I would do this again in a blink!

He was very helpful and never lost his cool. Thank you for being so patient. Initially we thought 8 hrs. was very long next thing we knew it was over.
