I had a great time! I am new to California fishing and Mike was happy to answer any questions I had. The water temperature was a little low for tuna and yellowtail but the rockfish bite was on! The boat has plenty of room inside and the top deck is great! The only downside would be the speed of a trawler but that is to be expected. I would definitely go again!

A half-day in the bay was fine, we were hitting tons of fish, but look what happened when we decided to make it a full day and head for deeper waters. Captain Dyer and Deckhand Sam were a great crew. They had their favorite spots, but also had eagle eyes for patties and birds. A 20lb yellowfin and 65lb bluefin left us with more fish than we could have dreamed of. While the boat’s speed left a little to be desired, we enjoyed the leisurely ride in and out and even saw a couple large pods of dolphins.

Pros…1. Huge private boat with fridge and toilet. Plenty of space.  2. Super nice and experienced captain. 3. All the fishing gear you need.  Cons… 1. Dried barf on seating area.  2. Captain was one hour late.  3.  Its all in harbor 30’-50’ max with limited fish available, not rock cod or barracuda as mentioned in listing…lots of floating trash
Overall if you want a private harbor tour with some fishing, this might be for you.  4 of us caught 2 undersized halibut…nothing we could take home

Captain and Crew were great. Very friendly and helpful and they tried their best to find us fish but for an overnight trip, we were completely skunked. Not one bite! Seemed other boats were having trouble too but that was unconfirmed.  Regardless, it was still completely disappointing to not even get a bite for the cost of the overnight trip and the time invested. Could be just the day, stuff does happens. However we will try another charter next time. Documenting here in case it’s a pattern with their overnight trips. Bottom line:  Great friendly crew but we got completely skunked.

Was a great trip would recommend!! Kids had lots of fun and we all caught fish!!
