The captain and first mate where honest and wanted us to have the most time fishing in the water as possible. Was able to fish multiple locations and hook in some monsters. Great crew and a blast will be doing again soon
Our experience was great. The weather was beautiful the fishing were biting! Captain Sean made sure to switch locations if he felt the fish werenโt taking the bait. Jerry was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE!! He hustled the entire trip to make sure we had our bait, made sure our lines were all ready to be casted and helped take all of our pictures were taken with our catches. We caught a 29โ halibut that he made sure to have all packaged up for us :)
I gave the trip a 4 start rating as the boat was a little worn down, but mostly because the description for the boat when booking says โ6 people MAXโ and we had another group of 4 combined with our party of 4, making it 8. We didnโt receive a courtesy call from our original captain(I believe his name was Nathan) to inform us of this. Sean explained why the amount of people was different however I still felt like it wasnโt a legit reason to not give someone a heads up prior. May want to change the description of the fishing booking. Just a heads up Long Run Sport Fishing!
Overall would definitely go to them again.

I had to put the two groups of 4 together to make the trip happen as I didnโt want to cancel on you. I did this last minute because we had two cancel hrs before the trip. Iโm sorry I couldnโt make it clear personally but asked that my skipper explain why we needed 6 min not maximum I. Order to run. I hate to deny folks when they spend a lot of time planning and gas/hotels etc. Weโre able to take 13 but never take over 8 and only on 6 hr trips. Went out for a 6-7 hour trip a few days before Thanksgiving. We departed promptly at 6AM and returned at 1:30PM. We caught an 8kg yellowtail and a 6kg skip jack. The day ended perfectly after the midday sun. The trip was not crowded, just 4 fishers and 1 spectator. Nice crew! Professional. We hope to return in the Spring for more fish and more San Diego.

It kept us from going out of the bay. That bad luck didnโt stop us from catching fish tho. After the fog cleared we got 2 hours of off shore fishing, also the Dolphins put smiles on everyone on board. Highlight? Lingcod! It was such a crowd pleaser on the grill the next day!!!
