Billfish and trolling is the name of game here. I’m not a big troller and the trip was fine. if your lucky maybe you will hook into a marlin but odds are low with bill fish. I’m sure it’s something special to hook into one though. . Boat and crew were great it’s a smaller boat but ran like a top and we had no issues. The deckhand was great with the 4 boys/young men I brought with me, he checked the lures several times during the 4 hrs trip.  Overall good experience just go with the proper expectations. It was what I expected. A gorgeous day on the water for a boat ride. Im sure if the crew could make the fish bite they would.

Had a great time out with the Sea Strike. It’s an older boat, could use a little sprucing up. But that had nothing to do with how much much fun we had. I wish we had catch even just one fish, sometimes it just goes that way. Jack was such a nice deck hand. Really went out of his way for us. Thanks

Captain Dale and Captain Jack as well as their mate Jamison are the best Marlin fishermen in Kona. They have been here for many years, Jack and Jamison were born in Kona.  These guys are the up and coming superstars! All three of these men are seasoned anglers. I have fished all over the world, this was my best trip. They delivered, I caught Spearfish, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin in two four hour trips.  These men are the real deal. If you want to catch Marlin these are the men that will get the job completed for you. They are extremely professional and gregarious.  I am returning to Kona with my wife to Marlin fish with them later this year. Every time I come to Kona I will hire the men of Sea Strike.  Captain Dale and Captain Jack are the best! Wonderful people!

Best new experience we ever had.We catch 2 Mahi Mahi and even saw the pilot whales.  It was really amazing…Captain and his crew so nice, helpfull,  knowledgeable and professional people.We will take unforgettable memories home.Thank you Sea Strike!!!

This was an amazing experience to have with Jack and Joe.  My family did a full day of fishing and though it could have ended better it was a great day.  The more was slow with just the normal trolling and looking for fish.  By 1230 we hooked and released the 1st short nose spearfish.  Within 10 mins we hooked another short nose bill fish and released it as well.  After that we hit another short nose spearfish which my daughter reeled in and we had to take it because it was hooked in the gills.  Less than half an hour later Jack was super excited as well all watched ( National geographic style Jack hook a huge Blue Marlin.  No one even thought to grab a camera as we were all hypnotized by this scene.)  I fought this fish for 4 hours plus before having to leave the seat due to fatigue.  Shortly after the seat changed happened the line failed and snapped and we lost the fish.  This happens.  As I said before the only way this day could be better was to land this giant, get photos with it and release it back.  Jack and Joe took the extra time in the day and helped all through this process, and were just as upset about losing this fish as we were.  Like I said though this was a great day and we could not have asked for a better experience.  Thank you Jack an Joe for the memories and a great fishing trip.
