I sent my husband and son on a fishing trip for the day while visiting Galveston. Not only did I receive about 20 pictures from my husband out of excitement at the many catches they made, but I was bombarded with stories of how amazing the day was and how badly they wanted to go back out! So I would say if you want a fun day of fishing, take this tour for sure!
Great trip with Captain Jason and first mate Darren. Caught a variety of fish in the jetty and channel in Galveston. He knew where to find the fish. My kids reeled in a couple big red fish. Caught a bunch of other fish. Most of them keepers and had fish dinner that night. Plenty for 8 people. Caught a few sharks as well. My kids were thrilled. Both were great with kids and made sure they enjoyed the trip. My daughter was a little sea sick, but they made sure to get her involved. Boat was in good condition and plenty of room for six passengers. Would recommend this crew and trip to everyone. We plan to book another charter and explore offshore for bigger game fish.

Good communication pre-trip. I was pleased with gear and boats overall condition. We tagged out early on bull reds and stayed on bite all morning. Crew was knowledgeable and great helping kids to land big fish. I will book again with Rod Benders.
