Captain Victor and mate August are True professionals. Not only do they put you on fish, they treat you with respect and take care of your every need. Next time I come to Cozumel I’m booking again with the Grand Slam!

Family novice 4 hour trip. Captain Victor and Gustavo was patient and kind to my family. My 8 year old son caught 5 Mahi Mahi. Captain Victor filet fish and we took to resto Capitan Mantarraya for delicious lunch.

We had a great time fishing with Miguel, Sonny, and Freddy. They worked hard to get us a bite on a really windy day. We hooked up on a barracuda and had four other bites trolling. We then went in and bottom fished for the last hour. We caught multiple species and had two doubles. We then brought the fish to the resort and had them cook them fresh for us. Funny trip!

My son, father-in-law and I fished with Victor and Augusto from Aquadventures on the Grand Slam this past Friday, July 28th. The weather was hot and water was a little rough. Victor and Augusto worked hard all day to get us on fish. We lost the first Mahi of the day then had the dreaded long wait until the next strike; about 2.5 hrs. The next strike was a good one and well worth the wait! A big bull Mahi broke the silence with 3 giant leaps before we settled in for the long fight. About 45 minutes later we hauled the 40lb bull into the boat. The action kept coming with 3 more 7-10 lb females over the next 20-30 minutes. Rain kicked up in the afternoon. It kicked up the waves, cooled things off and woke up the fish. We landed 2 more 7-10 lb females, had a couple more small females strike and had a sailfish trailing one of the baits for a bit. Victor hooked us up with a restaurant to cook some of our catch and dropped us off at a pier right across the street.
All told, the day was fantastic with 6 fish landed. The boat and gear were solid and got the job done. Not brand new and shiny, but good quality gear well taken care of by good hardworking guys who helped check Mahi Mahi off my son’s bucket list.
