Booked a 4 hour afternoon trip for 1:00pm. When the booking was finished, the captain sent me a message that he would be ready to go at 11:30. We were prepared for 1:00, as that is what the reservation says - but we rearranged plans to be there earlier. The morning of, the captain sent me a message at 11 that he was ready to go. We arrived at 11:35, amd they didn’t look too excited. We got on the boat and the captain said sit where you would like and let’s see what we can catch. Those are the only words we heard from him for 4 hours. There were 2 deckhands. I don’t think one spoke English. He smiled and seemed friendly enough, but there was no communication. The other deckhand never cracked a smile, didn’t speak and slept over half the trip. I understand fish are NOT guaranteed when fishing, but after spending $480 for 4 hours of trolling, no fish, no interaction at all by ANY of the boat’s crew or captain - we were EXTREMELY disappointed to say the least. After the boat was docked, the captain came down and said sorry - slow day. We got off the boat and left. My husband and I have both been on deep-sea fishing trips and never experienced anything so disappointing. This was our daughter’s first trip - I just wish we had gone with a different charter. 😔

Despite the high winds and rough seas the Captain delivered!
