Winds were howling this week, but we were still able to get out and catch a mess of mangrove snapper, young jacks and mackerel.ย Captain was well mannered and he took care of everything, cleaning and packing our catch for the restaurant to cook.ย I would be happy to fish with him again.

My 21 year old daughter and I booked a 1/2 day with Jim on the 3rd day of a 3 day cold front. Water was in the low 60s in the early morning, and only up to 66 by 1:30.ย We only caught one, missed of few but not for lack of trying. Captain Jim had us in different spots with different baits, we tried everything, the water was just to cold.ย We stayed out about 90 minutes extra as Jim tried to find something that was willing to move in the cold. The day started with a grim briefing of wind, waves and lack of fish, but Captain Jim knew exactly where to go. It was my father in law who gets sea sick very easily and myself and in the fear of the rough seas, we put our trust in the Captain. The wind howled and the boat rocked, but in a short few hours, we were able to bring 6 different species of fish on deck, and to our delight, able to bring home 7 mangrove snappers and a cero mackerel. Captain Jim is the best of the best and I will not go out with anyone else on the keys. Thank you!
