We were picked up & dropped back off at our resort. Our driver, Vlady, was a lot of fun to talk & ride with! Now, for the trip! Capt. Mike & crew were very accommodating. We were provided food & all the drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) we wanted. We had a blast just out for the ride & seeing the beauty of the ocean. We did see one whale which was an added bonus! As for the fishing, it was great & handled very professionally! We started by landing two modest barracuda & then the wait was on. We were halfway through our trip & starting to wonder if we were gonna get a bite, & then…BAM! ALL six rods went off at once! There were only two of us, so one of the crew landed one of the Mahi Mahi, we lost one, & my friend & I pulled in the rest! All Mahi Mahi. All nice sized & all fighters! We had a blast! The quality & well-maintained equipment assured us of that! Our only disappointment came when we were unable to bring the filets home. We did have the option of having them prepared at the restaurant at the marina for free, but didn’t set aside enough time (so, keep that in mind! make sure to have time to enjoy your catch!). The good from it was the assurance the fish would be put to good use locally which was satisfying enough for us. We were so impressed with the crew & the trip that we bought fishing shirts with the charter’s name when we arrived back at the marina. To end this, these guys are great. Everything was top-notch & more than fairly priced. We had a blast & won’t hesitate to use them again when we go back! Thanks, Guys! Safe Sails!!!

Captain Miguel and First Mate Kevin were awesome! The water was a bit rough early on with 3-4 ft. waves and the occasional 5-7 ft. swell, but the ride always felt secure. We caught A Mahi-Mahi about an hour and a half in. We were bit-off once, by what First Mate Kevin thought to be a Barracuda. It was our first fishing charter experience ever. My wife and I booked this as one of our many excursions during our Honeymoon in Punta Cana. We even saw a Humpback Whale! First Mate, Kevin showed me how to properly rig the Ballyhoo bait we were to use. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone of all experience levels. We will definitely be booking with Captain Miguel and First-Mate Kevin again when we come back.Gracias mi amigos!
