We spent more time driving than fishing. We specifically asked to go fishing and shelling when we booked the trip. Then when we arrived we were told the boat could not stop for shelling. We were all disappointed and had to book another boat trip for the shelling. The woman who called us to confirm the trip gave us information on shelling at other beaches, but we felt we were mislead.
Dear Mrs Pulliam I’m so sorry you were disappointed with your Fishing Charter. When the booking was requested I noted that it was for a fishing Charter and we aren’t equipped for shelling per your inquiry “if it was possible”. There are Coast Guard regulations regarding boarding and unboarding that have to be followed for safety reasons. I mentioned the only place to safely board for shelling would have used up the entire day to get to. There are boats that don’t follow these rules but safety is our number one goal. When I discussed this with you prior it was agreed upon and the trip deposit would have been refunded so you could book another Charter if necessary. If there was a way we could have made it happen we would have as customer satisfaction is our #1 goal. After your trip you and your family seemed very pleased and happy with your day on the water as well with our Crew. Knowing you wanted a special day with your Grand kids I also provided beverages, snacks and fruit in which otherwise isn’t provided and was a welcomed surprise by you and your family. I printed out many places in which you could do some shelling as well as other family fun facts that were easily accessible for you. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and or misunderstanding. When your back in Florida we would Love to make it up to you in any way we can. Our crew works very hard to make a special day with all of our guests and work very hard to do so. We like to think of everyone as Family. With regards to fishing there are many places on the beach to fish some take more time than others and we always strive to find great places to catch fish. Please always remember to advice of any issues upon returning to port as Customer Satisfaction is very important and we truly apologize that we for any reason didn’t meet your expectations.
