Well the day started at the boat ramp, where we met Captain Jason, and he had a positive attitude and was ready to get on the water. We instantly started catching fish and it kept going the rest of the trip mostly fish being pulled in the boat. The captain had the greatest personality and was super easy to carry on a fun conversation with. I recommend this charter! Youโll have the best day. He even brought sandwiches to make on the boat for us for lunch and we greatly appreciated that.

Jason is very knowledgeable about the waters he fishes in. He takes you right to the the spots where fish are. Jason is very patient with his clients, and wants Nothing more than to make your trip a success. Jason is very nice and was able to teach us very quickly how to fish this style of freshwater.
If you are looking to have an experience with a guide, whether you are an advanced or beginner, Jason is your guy.ย I had not met him before our trip but a friend of mine recommended him. He did not disappoint. I am familiar with the Clinch having floated it a dozen times or so and have waded it for many years. I was going to have my 15 -year old son with me and we were intrigued by the jet prop boat.ย Jason had all the gear you could want, I ended up during the course of the day fly fishing, spin casting and bait casting.ย He put us in all the right spots. The day I picked was the only one I could based on my sonโs school and my work schedule. The lunar tables werenโt favorable and the TVA boys were running a lot of water.ย Unfortunately, that combo usually results in poor fishing. The fish were not on, but Jason gave us every chance to catch fish. The jet prop allows you to quickly get back up stream to focus on the best patches of the river. I can easily give this guide and trip a 5-star rating.
