My son Jacob and I went for a five hour fishing trip with Captain Joel with Salty Dog Charters. Joel was very friendly.
It was a rough water day, waves were of the 3-4 foot variety.ย My son and I felt that we spent 2/3โs of the time boating to the fishing spots and only 1/3 the time fishing. That was slightly disappointing to us. Captain Joel admitted that it was a slower than usual fishing day.ย We did catch fish, just not a lot of them or really any of a big size.

Great 5 hour trip with Captain Joel.ย Caught fish within minutes of our first cast and it did not stop.ย My wife even landed a Goliath Grouper (with lots of help from Captain Joel.). Snapped some pics and sent him back to the depths, but caught several mackerel for a great fish dinner.
