Morning started out early at 6:15a. Captain Jim gave us the plan to go catch some bait and then head to some recent hot spots. Our group had no prior experience so we left it all to the crew. We caught some bait and headed out for the big catchโฆ end of the day, the bait was the only thing we hooked but the group all agreed it was still a fun experience with Captain Jim and mate โFishโ.

Fishing was off but captain Jim and mate Fish always kept a positive attitude and raised a striped marlin but wouldnโt take the hook.ย Saw a 405 blue marlin weighed in by another boat.. it could of been usโฆ Thatโs fishing enjoy the ride !!! Kona is an amazing place. Will be back !!

Had an amazing day fishing with Capt. Jim and First Mate Fish on theโ Go Get Emโ. Weather was spectacular with light winds and smooth seas. I was a solo on the boat so lots of space. We headed South trolling 4 lures and a teaser towards Kealakekua Bay working the Southerly currents. Hooked up and landed a beautiful 160 Lbs. Blue Marlin. Lots of jumping and leaping out of the water. Tried to find some Mahi Mahi or Ahi but the bite was slow. Views of the Kona coastline were wonderful.
I have never had luck on a charter in all the years of fishing. I never expect a once in a lifetime trip because I have never came close. I also understand that luck plays a big factory with fishing and today was my day. We hooked 5 blue marlin and caught 2. We also caught 2 spear fish both short nosed and rare one got off at the boat but I kept mine, it was a double experience as the captain reeled one in that he lost. Sorry brother it was awesome I think the captain and his nephew were losing it more than I was as we had 2 double hook up experiences on the trip and each time got one at least. So I was by myself and would recommend the captain and crew as top notch with no complaints regardless of a no fish day. I will book with them again when i come back.
