I had never fished before this experience. I booked it for my brother who was visiting from Utah. I wasnโt sure what to expect, but though some time on the ocean can never hurt.
I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER! Captain Matt was the BEST teacher. He taught me how to cast first thing. He was very encouraging, super chill and so much fun to spend 5 hours with. Heโs so knowledgeable of the waters, the best places to fish, and taught me some great techniques.
I caught a shark, sheepshead, monster trout and a very impressive redfish.
I would HIGHLY recommend for your next fishing adventure. You will not be disappointed.

Captain Matt was great!ย Weather was not.ย Wind blowing, murky water, terrible conditions. Captain Matt called us the day before and offered to cancel due to weather if we didnโt want to fish in pretty rough conditions.ย We decided to still go for it.ย Tried couple of different spots and got us on the fish.ย We caught multiple red fish and catfish.ย It was a blast!ย Biggest red was over 19lbs.ย Captain Matt is very knowledgeable, loves what he is doing and was an awesome guide.ย We will be his repeat clients going forward.ย Highly recommended!!!ย Thank you Captain Matt

Me and my two brothers enjoyed our fishing trip with Captain Aaron. He fished around the jetties and we caught several redfish keepers 20โ-28โ. He has a great attitude, very friendly, courteous, and skillful. The boat was roomy for the four of us (24โ Boston Whaler). He put us onto fish, and we had a great time.
Second time weโve been out with Grace Fishing Charters and this time was just as enjoyable as the first. Matt and Aaron are both great people who will work like crazy to put you on fish. This trip wasnโt as โsuccessfulโ as the first, but it certainly wasnโt for lack of trying and we literally had just as much fun as the first trip. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. If youโre using guides in Galveston, do yourself a favor and go out with Matt or Aaron.
Morning had a pretty slow bite. Capt. Grace was determined to get us on some fish. We bounced around a few spots throughout the morning and weโre able to get into some smaller trout. After not having a whole lot of luck with the trout we decided to head out and go for some sharks. We ended up landing some solid sharks and loved every bit of it. Sometimes you have slow days on the water. Capt. Grace was able to make the best of our slow day and we enjoyed every bit of it.
