We had a great half day charter with Captain Tim.  His communication is excellent and he was ready to depart at 6am when we arrived.  It was a slow day of fishing but it was not for lack of trying different lines, depths, and locations.  We had a great day on the water and would highly recommend Powderhorn!

First of all Scott is the MVP he rigged us up n helped a ton.Captain Tim was a class act one Hell of a guy shoo both of them are! Two of the friendliest easy going people I have ever meet. Between Tim & Scott’s knowledge and skill we limited out with in 3 hours which worked out awesome for our drive home. These fellas know where the fish are and know how to get you on them I am currently booking a may trip with Captain Tim. If you have3nt been on a charter or if you have these boys at powderhorn will take good care of you. My only complaint is I wish I could fish woth them more!!!!

Although I didn’t have capt tim we had his right hand captain Matt D. And boy did he deliver…season is coming to an end and fish are moving to the streams and rivers but you wouldn’t know that by the picture and results by capt. Matt and his first mate!! It started slow but capt. Matt was determined to show us a good time and as luck would have it he put us on the fish up to the very last min. Conditions we rough and expectations were low but as a group were we willing if the captain was…9-18-20 was a great trip for us and look to have them as our exclusive charter when our groups decide to choose a charter!! Great facilities, great communication and honest information makes for your best possible experience with deciding who you want to book with…take the guest work out of it and go with powderhorn sportfishing because the team will give you the best opportunity at a memorable day!!! Remember it is called fishing, not catching but with powderhorn, you the best possible chance.

I had very low expectations of catching very many fish, because the weather was so hot and we were fishing from 7am to 1pm.  But, we had an EXCELLENT catch: 14 lake trout for our group of 6.  I learned a LOT about this type of fishing and how it is so much different than fishing in an inland lake with a rod & reel and bobber and worms.  This type of fishing was exhilarating!  Fighting to reel in that large of a fish is quite an experience.  The crew was excellent, the boat was too.  They prepared the fish for us and we ate it that night - yummy!  Plenty is left in the freezer to feed us for quite awhile.  We are planning another trip with this boat either in the fall or next May.  Can’t wait!

What a great half day of fishing on Lake Michigan.  Captain Matt and First Mate Thomas took our family on a fun, fish and action filled adventure.  It wasn’t long after the rod holders were full and we had fish on the line.  More than once having doubles!  Captain Matt not only was educating his first mate, Captain Matt also did a nice job of educating us on all aspects of laker fishing!

It was the best day of fishing we have ever had and look forward to another adventure with Captain Matt and First Mate Thomas on the Reel Ginger.
