Captain Batch was great! Very patient and kind.ย We caught a few small fish but thatโs just how it goes sometimes and left the captain with a story that Iโm sure will be humorous when he retells it.

Had a great day of fishing and shrimping!!ย T-BO knew where the fish and shrimp were at and worked his tail off getting us to the good spots! I couldnโt have asked for a better time with my boys, T-BO made us feel right at home and gave us some great places to try out when we head to New Orleans on Monday. Highly recommend this charter!!! This trip was a great experience, even with a two people in our group getting sea sick. Captain Mitchell was very accommodating and quickly got our people back on shore as soon as they decided they couldnโt stay on the water. While on the trip, we caught several fish and Captain Mitchell did a great job of getting us on good fishing areas.ย The shrimping was also a very fun experience as well. We fed dolphins at the side of the boat and caught a few pounds of shrimp that tasted great.ย Captain Mitchell did a great job of constantly informing us of what he was doing, why he was doing it, explaining techniques, and teaching which made it a great learning experience. We highly recommend this trip.

Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to provide a review.ย I hate that they got sea sick.ย The reef was absolutly loaded with fish and you all would have caught one fish after the other.ย When you are sea sick I have learned there is no place like dry land.ย I will never hold a customer hostage on the water when they are sea sick.ย ?ย So if they are feeling bad and want to go back to port I will take them.ย I am glad we were able to take the two of you back out shrimping.ย The Bottle Nose Dolphin encounter is very good when we pull in the net, sort the catch, and return the bi-catch.ย

I would like to take the time to say thank you to Captain Davis. I was especially pleased with the time he took with my son!!ย What he didnโt know is Caleb is autistic and the time he took with him ment the world to us. It made the trip all worth it just for him to be able to have experienced this. Even though we couldnโt keep the fish we caught. It was still fun. We look forward to our next trip back.

We had a good time on the trip. We didnโt catch any fish on the boat, but Captain T-Bo let my son fish off the dock when we got back and he caught a catfish. That made my sonโs day! All in all it was a good experience. We would definitely go again, probably on a longer trip next time though. This is a great option for families with little kids.
Stacy, thank you for your kind review!ย The inshore fishing was poor when you were here and is still poor now.ย Hurricane Hanna passed to our South and West and in doing so put us on the rain and wind side of the storm.ย We were inundated with rain and ended up with about 12-15 inches of rain here and in the rivers to our North over a 5 day period.ย That in combination with the wind driven water surge did not allow the rain to exit the bays and rivers and they all filled with freshwater.ย The salinity is now only about 2/3rds of what is normal.ย That long explanation simply put is saltwater fish donโt like freshwater.ย I am very glad you enjoyed your time with Captain McCartney and Alabama Coastal Charters.ย I will pass this review along to him.ย You will get your wish of a larger boat next season if the COVID-19 ever goes away.ย
