Had a blast with Capt James and first mate Jerry. They are extremely knowledgeable about fishing and the surrounding areas. We caught only one nice sized lake trout, but from the other charters/fishers out at the same time, they also had very little to no catches either. It was just a bad day for everyone. Would highly recommend!

The captain and the first mate Gerry were great. It was a flat water day on the lake and they busted butt to catch fish. They were very helpful to my grandson who was on his first charter. We landed two fish and had a great time. I would recommend these guys to anyone. We will fish with them in the future.

Our 2nd time with Capt Jim and was even more fun than the first time. We had a first time fisherman with us and the thrill of landing his first big fish was exciting. He lost a few too, but Capt & First Mate Jerry were very patient and gave him instructions on how to keep them on the hook. Everyone caught at least one fish including a nice King Salmon.Always a lot of fun and you leave learning a little more each time.Thanks again Capt Jim!

My brothers and myself try to take a fishing trip yearly. We’ve been deep sea fishing numerous times in Gloucester, MA, Seabrook, NH, and Long Island, NY (...including a couple of overnight trips); and taken fishing trips to the Great Lakes a couple of times throughout the years. This trip was by far our most productive and most fun trip ever! We banked 5 King Salmon in less than 5 hrs; the first one in less than 1/2 an hour. All averaging 20-25 lbs a piece. We also had a couple of misses. Captain Jim and his mate knew what they were doing….finding the fish and made great company. Honestly, couldn’t have been a better day. Looking forward to our trip next year on Fishlander Charters. Thanks Captain Jim!

Great day of salmon fishing on Lake Ontario, six Chinook and one Steelhead boated and we had a few more hookups. But, more important than the catching was the day on the water with grandchildren that were visiting from Australia.  From my last minute arrangements to the last foot off the dock the Captain and his Mate couldn’t have been more helpful. As first-timers at salmon fishing, and with an age span of our group from 9 to 82, it was a challenge for the crew to keep everybody safe, happy, and engaged.  Captain and Crew met the challenge far beyond my highest hopes. My youngest grandson caught a nice Chinook and beautiful Steelhead. Everyone caught at least one nice fish, but the pleasant nature of Captain Jim and his Mate Mike with everyone made a family memory that will last a long time.
