Awesome fishing experience with Captain & crew.

I recently booked a trip with Captain Ron on the Southern Belle. The week before my scheduled charter, Captain Ron contacted me to keep me informed of weather and fishing conditions. He was more than flexible with any changes that may be needed to be made prior to the trip.

When I arrived at the dock, we were greeted by Brandon (First Mate and Captain Ron’s son). Brandon went out of his way to make sure our group had a fantastic fishing trip. He was very knowledgeable, energetic and polite.

We had a very successful and productive day of fishing. Towards the end of the day, Captain Ron asked me if we didn’t mind spending a little extra time fishing. I believe he wanted to allow my son to catch a mackerel (which had eluded us to that point). And we did catch one.

When we arrived back at the dock, Captain Ron had contacted someone to meet us there to fillet our catch. And he also recommended a local restaurant that would cook it for us that evening. Unbelievable!

This trip exceeded all of our expectations. Captain Ron & Brandon made our trip a fun and memorable experience. They are a hidden treasure at Virginia Beach for anyone interested in scheduling a fishing adventure.

From the booking to the final docking Captain Ron and Brandon were fabulous! The morning of the trip was severe rain and we thought the trip may have been canceled. Captain Ron, called and we decided to see what the weather would do. He was able to accommodate us in the afternoon. He shared his knowledge of the area . He and Brandon were very kind and made sure that the kids had a great time. Taking the time to ensure they learned about how to fish off the boat. The boat is beautiful and very well maintained. We can’t wait to do it again next year with Captain Ron.

Everyone had a blast on this trip. The boat was absolutely beautiful and the crew was great. The captain searched for the best spots and the first mate was quick to take fish off hooks and throw lines back in. Can’t wait to do it again except offshore, highly recommended.

We had a great time with Captain Ron and his first mate Brandon.  He got us on the fish early and everyone in our group got to reel in fish!  Great day on the water and would definitely book another trip with Southern Belle!! Thank you Captain Ron and Brandon for a great time!
