I researched a lot of charters and landed on this one which I booked in January of 2023.  Captain Damien’s boat is HUGE, and has a bathroom…other charters I saw didn’t.  The booking process was super easy with a reasonable down payment.

I received emails leading up to the trip reminding me of the trip and Captain Damien personally called me the day before to give me the rundown on what to bring, what to expect, etc.  He is super cool, professional, knowledgeable, and laid back.

When we got on the charter, it was immediately apparent it was going to be a great time…and it WAS!  The boys loved every minute of it and so did I!  We caught a bunch of bait fish which was fun and headed out to catch grouper, snapped, etc.  it’s obvious Captain Damien knows what he’s doing…he wasted no time staying in an area where the bites weren’t happening enough…he would have Nick pull up anchor and BAM!  We’re off to a better spot with more action.  After we got back with our haul, Nick did a great job cleaning all the fish, bagging it up, and putting it on ice for us.  Then Captain Damien recommended going to the Boat Yard to have them cook it up…it was AMAZING!  Captain Damien and Nick are great guys who were patient AND expeditious in how they were teaching the boys how to fish so that the boys could have the best experience possible.  This charter did not disappoint, and my son said his buddies are still talking about it being the highlight of their spring break trip- I agree!  I already told Captain Damien and Nick that we’re planning on coming back in November and if it happens, we will DEFINITELY be going out with them again. I’ve been on other charters and I can’t recommend them enough- don’t even waste your time looking at other charters; book this one if you can.

We had such a fun day on the water! In addition to a wild variety of fish caught, we also had the luck to see dolphins, a shark, jellyfish and a sea turtle!

The Captain was awesome about getting us on the fish, reeling in before our bait hit bottom and moving as soon as the bite turned off to keep us entertained! Lots of action! The First Mate did a fantastic job keeping us baited and taking fish off the hook for us.

Would definitely recommend for future visits!

What a wonderful trip we had with Captain Damian and First Mate Rich on April 27th, 2022.  Searching for a charter can be a little bit like searching for a needle in a haystack, but this fishing trip with my son and son-in-law was great.  We left early in the morning and when the fish didn’t seem to be hitting we spent a little time bait-fishing for live bait that we would use later.  Having that done, we started we went out several miles and started trolling.  Over the next couple of hours we caught a three-foot barracuda, several amber jacks, a 40-inch shark (watch your toes Rich!), and lost three other sizable fish after good fights trying to get them in.  It was a blast!  Then the Captain took us out and found a spot for grouper, where we spent 45 minutes or so catching all kinds of grouper ... almost a dozen different varieties ... some smaller and some pretty good size.  Then we headed back to shore on a relaxing ride on a beautiful sunny day.  It was my first such charter and I would recommend Captain Damian to anyone looking for a dependable charter out of Sarasota!

Started out trolling and caught Spanish mackerel, they were hitting one after another. Caught so many I don’t even remember the number. Captain asked if we wanted to continue or try catching a shark. We voted shark. Got the first one on the line in the boat!! Jumped up out of the water and spun in the air when it hit the bait. Had a few more hits but they got away. Then got another one on the line, I spent a few minutes reeling him in and he snapped the line on 150 pound test!!!! Also seen a pod of dolphins breaching, a giant sea turtle and the captain was happy to get closer so we could see better. Awesome trip, awesome captain, can’t wait to come back!!!
