What an awesome day!!!  The weather was perfect, the fish were biting, and Captain Rick was fantastic!  If you’re looking for a great time and beautiful water (we went to Lake Hartwell), call Fishing Booker and ask for a trip with Captain Rick.  You will not be disappointed…we’ll be back!!!

My 10yo son and I went fishing Halloween with Capt Rick.  We tried a few different techniques and all hooked and landed fish.  The bite was hot in the morning but the wind made it tough to cast accurately so we abandoned a hot spot probably earlier than our Captain would have.  Also, we all occasionally hooked ‘stick fish’ but my son was very good about about hooking branches,etc so we spent a lot of time unsnagging lines.  Capt Rick was very good about tolerating this and answering the thousand questions my son asked about fish, the fish finder, the depth gauge, etc.  I would have liked to catch more personally (who doesn’t say that about fishing) but I got 4 or five good bites that I didn’t set the hook on.  We finished the day with two largemouth bass, one 17” and one almost 19” and two spotted bass about 13 inches each,  and with more than a pound of meat in fillets for dinner.  And he let us fish seven hours even though it was supposed to be for 5.

Really enjoyed our day on Hartwell with Captain Rick.  It was myself and my two boys.  Couldn’t have asked for a better weather day.  His boat was well equipped with everything we could need.  This day we focused on Large Mouth Bass.  He was very knowledgeable about where to go for these fish at this time of year.  Rick has been fishing this lake his whole life.  He was very accommodating and made sure we always had a line in the water.  Also, was always very patient to help us get our stuck hooks out from the branches from our many errant casts!  Most important, it was a great day of fishing.  I think we caught roughly 15 large mouth and spotted bass.  It was a lot of fun.  We will be doing this again with Captain Rick in the near future.  I do recommend him.

My husband and son had a great day on the water! Captain Rick went above and beyond to make sure that they had fun and were able to catch some nice fish.
