Captain Vinny and first mate Logan made for a great day of fishing.  It was a high surf and windy day that made for some challenges and change in approach to fishing.  We were able to catch twelve fish covering four different species during our time on the water.  Captain Vinny’s experience and fishing knowledge allowed us to fill up the fishing box with keepers when many other boats were skunked and went in early.  Catching four different species in just six hours was excellent fun and makes for great pictures.  Highly recommend Captain Vinny and Logan as the team to pick if you come to Fort Lauderdale for some fishing fun.  Trust this team for an excellent trip - regardless of the weather.

Logan was very informative about everything they were doing. He also worked his tail off keeping lines in the water.  And he kept the trip going with his humor and conversation.

We had a total of 6 people. Four adults and two kids(nine and twelve years old). Both kids each were able to catch fish no problem.

Our trip was on the March 22, 2022 and the ocean was rough. It was like a wash machine out there. But the captain did a great job not only navigating us but keeping us on fish! 

We all caught fish. We caught black tipped tuna, Bonita, mahi mahi, and Wahoo (that was everyone’s favorite). We also saw huge sail fish and barracudas!

Our group of six went out on YB Normal for a 4 hour fishing trip.  Captain Vinnie checked in the day before to confirm departure time and dock location and was easy to communicate with.  Boat was as expected and pictured, was clean and ran well.  It’s a little bit of a run from the dock to open water but we didn’t feel like we lost fishing time compared to other operators we’ve gone with.  Was nice to have a decent size boat to accommodate our group of six, plenty of fishing room on the deck.  Mate Hector and Capt. Vinnie were able to find us some fish that day despite slow conditions after recent storms.  They both worked hard to keep lines in the water and try to get in a good spot.  Was my first time out on YB Normal but will look to book with them in the future.

Great time even though weather came in a little rough but was still able to catch a nice Blackfin Tuna even with the fishing being a little slow due to said weather. Crew was great and experience overall was a great time. Thank you to captain Vinny and the crew for helping us out and keeping everyone comfortable.

First, we had been told to show up before 1pm as that is when our trip was to start.  We showed up at 12:45 wondering if we were in the right spot, no boat, no sign, nothing…..thankfully Vinnies first mate showed up and asked if we were there for the YB normal charter. Vinnie finally showed up about 1:05. He got off his boat and did not even acknowledge us, no hi, hello, nothing. He proceeded to clean fish and take photos with his returning group. He then decided he was moving his boat to a new slip and spent 15min moving lines etc. Finally we head out about 1:45 for a terrible day fishing we caught nothing while trolling around for 1.5 hours. I asked the first mate a few times if we good just drop lines down for snapper since I have 2 young kids that are bored of trolling he said yeah that be better let me ask Vinnie who did not want to stop trolling finally in the final 10 mins we got to drop lines and did get 2 or 3 tiny snappers.  We then head back to shore early arrived at 4:45 paid for 4 hours and gor 3.  Vinnie never spoke to us during the entire trip not a word. Very awkward environment….definitely do not recommend.
