Captain Juan and Andreas took care of us from beginning to end. We were after a blue marlin and we hooked this monster about 15-20 minutes into our trip! We will definitely use them again for future fishing trips. If you’re on the fence about using them, just book it. You won’t regret it!!

Honestly, we had no idea what to expect booking online blindly and heading to Mexico. We’ve heard horror stories about captains and guides from friends but didn’t have enough time to do sufficient research. We are big time into fishing and travel all over the place to check our bucket list species. I can’t tell you in words how incredible this trip was. We told them specifically what we wanted to target And these guys did not disappoint. I’ve been fishing since I was about one years old and I know you don’t always get what you want or even part of it. This trip was a dream come true and we will certainly be booking them again for years to come. What a great group of people.

Ok, the morning started off as beautiful as it could be… Views that are amazing… then we get out and snagged a couple Dorados (Mahi) then the wind picks up and we have 8’ swells and the boat was rocking, but that didn’t stop us…. (we did head back because we were a little seasick) but the captain and deck hand took us closer to shore and I kid you not, right as I told them to take us back in they see 2 100 lb+ marlin on the top of the water… We through out some live bait and within 2 minutes we hooked this 95 inch gem that will be mounted in my office in the next 90 days….

Seriously.. It was an awesome trip and we will be back!

We had a great time.  The water was a little rough, but it didn’t matter, because we were catching.  We met up at 6:00, were on the boat by 6:30, and heading out of the marina.  We stopped to get some ice and bait, and then we were gone.  We went around the point and fished along the shoreline in the Pacific.  We never went too far from shore, which kind of surprised me, we could always see land (probably no more than 1 mile or 2 away).  But that is where the fish were.  We targeted Mahi Mahi at first.  We all hooked up on a Mahi Mahi (there were 4 of us fishing), and we all caught one before the sun came up over the horizon.  We continued trolling along the coastline for a while, and ended up with 14 Mahi Mahi’s (a few were small, and we threw them back, and 1 monster spit the hook while the 1st mate was trying to get him with the gaff).  Then the 1st mate switched lures, the boat turned around to head back down the coast and we targeted Marlin.  My 14 yr old hooked up on a 7 foot striped marlin that gave him a good fight, we spotted some dolphins that were out hunting, and we followed them around for a while hoping to hook into something else that was hunting the same school as the dolphins, and my 16 yr old hooked up on a yellowfin tuna, and then the icing on the cake, my 73 yr old dad hooked up on an 8’9” Blue Marlin.  Unfortunately that one swallowed the hook, so we couldn’t release him.  If you ever get a chance to see a Blue Marlin in the water, they are SO COOL… it looked like it was hooked up to a battery, the colors were so vibrant and bright, it looked like it was glowing!  Luckily, that was at the end of the day, so we trolled our way back into the marina.

First off planning our trip was simple with online booking, we immediately got our confirmation. Once we got to Cabo we went down to Dock E just to checkout the boat and see what they brought in for the day, they had 1 Marlin, a tuna and several Dorado. The entire crew were friendly which put us at ease for the next day., and the boat was super clean. On our scheduled morning we met at the dock and Juan and his deckhand were ready and we pulled out on time. We quickly stopped for diesel, bait and ice. Juan and his deckhand were in gear to get to fishing, Once we got bait the work started on getting gear in the water, we rounded the corner at the keyhole and lines hit the water. By 7am we had 2 dorado at once, again at 830, and at 10 we hooked a Marlin. Had a pod of dolphins chasing bait with Marlins jumping, and landed another Dorado. Lunch was great, we had soft tacos, plenty of water and beer. They kept the boat clean,the entire day. These guys worked hard all day changing gear to make sure we were catching. We will use this crew every time we are in Cabo. Again thank you for a great trip and my first Marlin!
