Randy and his first mate were the best people to go out in Costa Rica with!! We immediately caught a Mahi mahi and sailfish. We had fresh sashimi on the boat and they provided drinks and food all day long. The trip was not only successful in catching fish but so much fun with these guys! We caught 5 fish and had the best day. Then, Randy called a restaurant and made us a reservation at sunset so we could eat our fresh Mahi on the beach. Highly recommend!

What an amazing day at sea. Right off the bat I’m in for the fight of my life. I’m reeling in a sailfish and he is not having, but there’s no way I’m losing. In reality it was several minutes but it felt like hours. The line is taught, he’s thrashing left and right. My muscles are fatigued, barely having on. Then I saw color, my father and the captain cheering me on I power though. I’m the I’ve bested the beast the elation and relief it was so much fun. Moment later it was my pops line. A beautiful, bluish green 4-ft mahi felt like every bit of 35 to 40 lbs. Probably even crazier than mine. It seemed to go by quickly but once he realized he was at the surface, oh he lost it. Thrashing and splashing. Kicking up saltwater into our eyes. It was honestly hilarious. Little did we know we had just captured our lunch Ceviche anybody LOL. We have to release the selfish we get to keep the mahi. But we get to keep the memories as well. After that we’d go to out about 400 ft deep. Then do a little bottom fishing, now that is one hell of an exercise. We managed to pull up five red snapper and a pretty nice size towel fish I think it’s called.

Captain Randy and his first mate were absolutely amazing. Helpful and Charismatic. Incredibly informative, and I got a pretty good Spanish lesson out of it as well. We had so much fun. We’ll definitely be back during the fall. I still want that elusive Marlin. I highly highly highly recommend them.

Big fish , Great Charter. Capt. Randy and Mate David are great hosts that bring up the fish and feed you like no tomorrow. They had it down ... every bait, rig or rod is ready to catch whatever the sea offers. On board they had drinks, food, and fresh catch to eat all day. We had a great time for our first time fishing on the Pacific Ocean ,even after fishing in many other Oceans/Seas. We are experienced boaters/fisherman ( fisher woman too) and had a wonderful day. We wanted to catch Dolphin and maybe Sail , but the sea had other ideas. Capt. Randy tried to find the fish we were after, but ...sometimes ya get what ya need and not what ya want. That’s why it’s called Fishing and not Catching . So, he made the call and set us off to DEEP water to find the Yellowfin. Mate David rigged up a live bait and dumped it to about 120-150 down and we got a hook up of a 40 # Tuna. Fantastic. We got a small tuny earleir in the day and David served us up a meal that would be 5 stars in a fancy seafood restaurant. Tuna,avocado,mango,red onion, and soy sauce ( which came by in a floating zip lock bag ) . If you want a local , knowledgable, and fun crew ... Book em !

We booked a half day trip.  I told captain Randy that we wanted to target edible fish species.  They were very understanding and accommodating.  Captain Randy couldn’t make it, and he sent his first mate as captain and another first mate.  They were both great.

The boat is in great shape!  By far the best bote I’ve booked through Fishing Booker so far.  The boat was clean and well maintained, the head worked fine, and the two Yamaha four-stroke ran smoothly.  I will be booking this boat again for sure.

When we arrived the crew had several ballyhoo already rigged, as well as live bain in the live well.  They changed the spread between ballyhoo, lures, and live bain, depending on the situation, with great results.

We landed 4 mahi (kept 2 and released 2 small ones), 2 jacks, 1 albacore tuna, a bonita (released) and 2 black tuna (released).  So, everybody got to bring in at least 2 fish.
