We had a blast
Captain Nick was very patient with us as we were running late due to roadworks. We found him very knowledgeable about the lake, region and fish! We caught some very nice sized and fat rainbow trout to take home and released some that were a little on the lean side (legal but they’ll live to fight another day!). Our take home ones were 51cm long and 1.8kg each. They were YUM!
Amazing trip on a great vessel with an awesome captain, although it was understood that it was fishing not ‘catching’ we were straight into a double hook up, and the action continued from there. 5 great fish landed, one lost at the boat, the big one that got away in the deep…and a few other hook ups, made for a great time on the water for us as a novice lake fishing family. Would not hesitate to recommend this charter as a short, convenient introduction to lake trout fishing. We will be back!
