Sam is personable, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, and the fishing in this stretch of the Everglades is outstanding. Caught some 60 fish in one day, mostly beautiful peacock bass, but also a few largemouth bass. Seen plenty of wildlife and other friendly fishermen. Highly recommended.
It is hard to find an Everglades fishing charter so conveniently located close to all of the major metro South Florida areas that also has excellent service and even better fishing - but Sam is exactly that. Sam uses an amazing 18โ McKee craft that feels so much larger than it actually is to get you on top of fish quickly, quietly, and efficiently. Beyond that, Sam is an amazing guide and captain - he knows where the fish are, he knows what theyโre going after, and heโs willing to take his time to show you where and how to fish the certain area youโre in. On top of that, Sam is a great guy who can easily strike up a conversation with you about literally any topic, and heโs just as excited as you will be when you hook into a fish. I will, without a doubt, be fishing with Captain Sam again in the near future, and I highly recommend him to anyone else looking for a day of Everglades fishing close to home.

Sam was a very personable guide and got us on fish within 15 minutes. We caught 46 peacock bass a few gar and a Mayan cichlid. We had a great time and would definitely do it again.
Sam lived up to his title and showed us a great time fishing the Everglades. Caught large mouth bass, peacock bass, mud fish, Oscar and an alligator gar. Over 60 fish in total with a couple of real nice specimens.. 4lb large mouth bass and a 7lb mud fish. The Everglades itself was beautiful, saw ospreys catching fish, gators and more specifies of bird life than you can imagine.
Fantastic day and Sam himself is a pleasure to be with. Attentive to our needs, so helpful - one of us had never fished before - and great fun.
