Exactly what we were looking for in a fishing trip. Jim the captain and Carven the deckhand were amazing! From start to finish they had the trip dialed in. Provided donuts, sandwiches, snacks and refreshments. The fishing was great. They provided all the gear and are very knowledgeable about what they do. I would definitely recommend this outfit to anyone traveling to the Juneau area.ย They also provided an option for us to send our catch back home after the trip. My family and I had an awesome time. Thank you very much for such a memorable experience.??

Thank you for the awesome review, I will pass this review on to the crew. Thanks
Three of us had a great time with captain John and deck hand Tim.They were friendly and knowledgeable helping us bring home both halibut and Coho! Tim filleted a halibut for us to cook fresh that night and helped us get the rest to a processor to send home to Washington. Thanks so much for being an awesome part of first trip to Alaska!
Thank you for the great review, Iโm very proud of the job that Captain John and Deckhand Tim are doing, I will post your review so all our other Captains and deckhand can see it. Captain Mike Bonfils owner Big Jimโs Charters
Had a great time with Captain John and First Mate Tim.ย Tim worked his butt of and John did his best to keep us on the bite. We did a 4 hour trip and ended up with 6 silvers. Wish it were more but fishing is fishing. I would say the only negative remarks would be towards the booking itself.ย Just a bit of confusion on tra sportataion and licensing. Other than that it was a great day.
Thank you for the review. Alaska doesnโt want the charter boats selling fishing licenses anymore so itโs a little more difficult but most people understand that itโs easy to buy on line. New regulations require us to report everything we do on line now, itโs a lot more work. Transportation for us came to halt with our van getting in a accident and totaled, now we have to relay on cabs and pay them. So we are not providing transport and letting the clients get and pay their own way to the marina.

The first trip our captain was more interested in whale watching than fishing. We finally caught 4 halibut after numerous entanglements because of the boat drifting back and forth.ย We then spent 2 hours trolling for salmon but did not catch a one.ย We went back with 4 halibut.ย The next trip or captain was more of a fisherman.ย We told him we wanted to catch some salmon so we spent 3 hours trolling but never caught a fish. We then decided to try for some more halibut. After 3 hours we finally caught 3 small halibut and one cod. We finally went back in with no salmon. Maybe the middle of June was the wrong time of year for salmon.ย We had fun and Juneau is beautiful but we wonโt be going back to Juneau for anymore fishing trips.ย Homer and Seward are much better fishing destinations.

Thank you for letting me know that we could of done better. We use to have a King Salmon derby the month if May and lots of Kings. We could keep 2 per day but the last 10 years itโs been slow with the Kings with all of South East restricted to no retention until after the King run, season opens June 15. The restrictions should pay off in the long run. We just need to keep trying to do the best we can, we have a great Coho run that starts mid July and runs to October, we have beautiful water all protected, itโs a great place to fish.
