This was our first off shore fishing trip in Costa Rica and it was fantastic!!! Right off the back we hooked two sailfish but unfortunately we lost them.  However, Our captain Jeremy got us on the next spot right away, we caught FIVE Yellow fin Tuna, the biggest was 80 lbs!!! The first mates Walton and Bradley were great, getting the fish hooked and even helping my wife reel in the biggest catch!! It was a great day and we would definitely recommend this charter and crew to anyone wanting to catch the trophy catch!

The captain speaks fluent english.
This is very rare in Costa Rica.
The crew often consisted of two and sometimes even 3 mates all very knowledgeable and very nice .They can’t do enough for you.
Empanada , wraps ,chips and dips , watermelon and pineapple sliced without you having to ask
. If you look like you need a drink it’s provided.

We told the captain we wanted to catch Mahi and then bottom fish for tile fish and grouper .
Final tally for our 7 am to 2 pm trip was
4 Mahi , 2 tile fish, 4 grouper , 2 Rosie’s , and a skipjack -bonito which is a very rare cross between a skipjack tuna and a bonito .
All and all just a great day
Very minor engine issue was fixed by the mechanically adept captain and crew while we were still catching fish .
No time wasted .
My only regret in giving this captain and crew my highest recommendation is that it may increase his popularity making him less available to us .
But then it wouldn’t be fair to be selfish.
So the truth is don’t even think of booking elsewhere . This is the best captain crew and boat in Costa Rica and you will not be dissapointed .

Great day on the Satisfaction! Capt. Jeremy and mates Pepe and Bernard were terrific; friendly and polite, and very professional. They worked very hard all day and Capt. Jeremy moved around to put us on fish.The mates took great care of us and the boat was very comfortable. My husband and I had a wonderful day and highly recommend this charter.

I highly recommend American Charters for anyone that wants a real fishing experience! The crew was phenomenal and definitely made you feel welcomed. I would not have asked for anything better. I don’t think it could have gotten any better than that! Great Crew, Super clean boat, just a beautiful experience is all I have to say.
