...This is how Adam presents me the spots where he will guide me before the trip (my objective was to take an amberjack).

What is unbelievable is that he was not liying at all. He brought me to 2 different spots ( big rocks 70 m deep) not far from the harbour (6 miles) and close to the shore (<1 mile). Sonar was full of bait and amberjacks below. Catching baits was the most difficult part (herrings), sometimes amberjacks grabbed our sabikis… but after that ......pure adrenaline!!!! Drop the bait, wait some minutes, strike,  double hook set, hear the reel scream and let the fight begin!

Adam really makes all the effort possible and offer me 1 additional hour to catch one amberjack ! Thanks again!
I took the 4h trip with my 11 years old son, I had 5 strikes (4 AJ & 1 Pink dentex certainly) missed 2 (bad hook set from me as i was more used to fishing with lures), unhooked one , 1 line broken, and 1 fish in the boat after hard fight!

The boat is perfect, powerful, all simrad equipped, japanese jigging Rods with appropriate reels, Adam is very professional, enthusiastic,  funny and really devoted to make your dream comes True.

I was so happy after that morning that i booked a shared trip the morning after with one guy: We took 1 wahoo , 2 amberjacks, missed 3 AJ, and 1 tuna hook broken!!! I let you imagine the power of those fishes..

The only question is not if i will go again with Adam but how many consecutive years i will request his service again! He proposes Jigging trip en La gomera or el hierro also.
For sure i will come again, and i cant recommend enough to try this amazing experience!

Having limited time while on holiday I opted for a 4 hour AM trip. Booking was easy and Filippo got in touch almost immediately to get things organised. On our morning out we set out in search of live baits but struggled to get into the size and species needed despite working hard covering ground, hooking numerous puffer fish, snapper and others. All nice to see but not exactly what I was aiming for. Having searched hard for a while and with one eye on the clock the decision was made to change tactics, send the lures out and cover some water trawling for the remaining time. Great chatting with Filippo and sharing tales until we were interrupted by a screaming reel and it was game on! We ended the morning with a Yellow Fin Tuna and a Skipjack Tuna for our efforts and I was back at my hotel in time for lunch. My fishing fix met and a highlight of the holiday! I couldn’t have asked for anything more and I can’t recommend Fish ‘n Chips highly enough!

We had a great time and caught lots of fish. Very knowledgeable captain. Fast boat, good equipment and efficient live bait catch. Not long before we hooked up African trumpet fish and stingrays.

The captain was able to save both trumpets from certain death by puncturing the air bladder. Ca. 10 kg Amberjack as a keeper to top it off.

We will definitely be going out again!

We had a great time with Captain Filippo. We didn’t have to travel far to catch baitfish and a couple amberjack. Even though the fishing was a little light today, the captain did a great job and trying to put us on fish. The trip along. Gigantes was quite amazing and beautiful to see it from the water, highly recommend booking with Captain Filippo
