We had an awesome evening fishing Saranac Lake with Zac! We caught a bit of everything on our evening trip and was highlighted by catching a chunky sized large-mouth bass. Definitely recommend a trip with Zac if youโre looking for a great fishing experience in the Adirondacks. Heโs a great fisherman with a ton of local knowledge and his #1 priority is for you to catch fish while having a fun time. We will absolutely be coming back in the future!
I booked a fishing outing with Zac Horrocks for my family during our stay in Lake Placid and we could not have been happier with the experience.ย Capt. Zac was a fantastic guide and was amazing working with our kids who have very limited fishing experience.ย He knew exactly where to take us on the lake for non-stop action that my son loved.ย Capt. Zac was even able to teach my daughter how to cast her own line for the first time and convince her to hold one of the fish she caught!ย I would recommend Capt. Zac to anyone interested in a fishing trip that will make memories for years to come and inspire kids to continue experiencing the great outdoors!

We had a fantastic trip with Zac. His knowledge of Lake Placid and fishing more generally was immediately apparent as soon as we stepped on the boat. He was extremely flexible and responsive regarding booking questions in advance of our trip. We also really appreciate his mission: helping to preserve Lake Placidโs serene environment and native ecosystem, through teaching local children and conducting outreach to government officials in hopes of generating support for the cause. We had a great day out with Zac, fishing for bass and pike on the lakes around Saranac.ย He is a professional, well-organized guide.ย He is high-energy and very personable.ย I think he can easily work with all levels of ability.ย And I got the impression that he guides the family whose kids catch fish with worms for the first time to the guy that can cast a fly 60 feet off the bow of a flats boat.ย Super great time with Zac and look forward to lake trout fishing in the spring next year.
truly an incredible, knowledgeable experience! highly reccomend ! captain brought me to his best spots in hunt of my target species, and it went swimmingly !
