First, my wife and I are experienced at Deep Sea Fishing, having been to a dozen of more locations between us in the last ten years, some more than once. There were three of us on this trip and the Boat, Gear, and Crew were great. The only reason the Overall Experience rating was four and not five stars is because we only caught one small Jack fish that fit in the little bait cooler. But we know you get shut out once and awhile, that’s just fishing. So maybe a four on experience is a little unfair to the crew, but part of the “overall experience” is catching fish. I do Highly recommend Island Dog.

Booked two six hour trips and got skunked both days. Crew was fun and worked hard. That’s fishing-right?

Seas were very rough - didn’t catch anything although it was their fishing season, didn’t even get a bite.  Crew was great just wish we would have had more bait and really could have down deep drop fishing.  Maybe that area is just fished out.
