Had a great day. Caught many different fish. Except the one that broke a 80lb line. Captain Don takes care of you while enjoying the day. I would definatly look for this trip again.

Thanks for booking with Uhookumcharters. Just wish we could have turned those bigger grouper. Still was able o catch blowfish, mangrove snapper, hogfish, grunts, grouper and a cobia. Glad you all had a great time catching fish. Can’t wait to do it again. Until we meet again may you have tight lines and calm seas.

Captain Don is an excellent fishing coach and in my view showed the right amount of caution while cruising through fog. I also appreciated that he filleted the catch.

Last year with another captain, we caught a ton of Red Snapper and Gag grouper. We tried another Captain because I couldn’t remember that Captain’s name. So had to find a new one for the trip. Captain Don was good in his attempts except, he did smoke several cigarettes during a trip with non-smokers. That and a rocking boat from rough waters made for a bit of unpleasantness. We didn’t catch what we wanted. Instead, we caught 47 grunts.

Sorry this charter did not meet your experience you had last year. The seas were choppy in the morning and we made several stops looking for the targeted species with no prevail and came up short on the groupers. If there is anything I can do in the future for your party, please give me a call.

Even tho we got a late start due only to our own fault, Captain Don put us on the fish all day! Starting with a couple Snapper keepers and he warned us there only on the bite till 10:30, pulled in a dozen grouper with 1 keeper, cobia, trigger fish, permit, puffer fish, Ramora, sea bass, and good size grunts. Between 4 of us we caught well over 100 fish. We had 57 in the cooler upon return, it was a great day and hope to do it again soon.

My son and I had an awesome fishing trip with Captain Don out of Chrystal River. He is a superb host, has a wonderful boat, and puts fish in the boat. We caught a lot of variety of fish including gag and red groupers, red snapper, mangrove snapper, and a number of other species. Over 100 fish! I strongly recommend fishing with him at anytime. He went out of his way to make our fishing wonderful. We will fish with him again!

We limited out on Red Snapper before noon. They ranged from 20-25 inches. We caught one gag grouper that was a keeper and several others we had to throw back. We caught over 30 grunt and could of caught many more if we wanted. The hospitality was excellent and really appreciated Captain Don cleaning the fish afterwards. I enjoyed the trip so much I’ve already booked another trip next week. Awesome experience
