Had a great time. There were six of us guys and a bit concerned with spacing when you add on the Captain and mate. We ended up with plenty of space and Captain Sam navigated the waves where everyone was comfortable even up on the bow.
We wanted to target a variety of fish but especially wanted some hard fighting fish. Amberjack are not called Reef Donkeys for no reason. We all got to battle these fish. We are fairly experienced fishermen and Capt Sam and mate Will taught us the art of jigging for Amberjack. The use of large spinning reels really let you “feel the burn” on those AJs. The crew was friendly and easy to talk to.
