A group of our family and friends were staying on Lido beach and decided to book a trip with Capt. Scott as a Father’s day present. We booked a 4 person AM trip on Friday and all of us had a blast! We started out a little slow on the first couple of reefs, but Capt. Scott kept moving until we located the fish. At one spot we caught a few “blue runners” that we saved for bait. We then switched to another location where barracuda where schooling and used the blue runners to catch 5 pretty large barracuda in short order. We could have probably caught as many as we wanted because they were hitting the blue runners almost as soon as we got them in the water, but fighting barracuda will wear you out quick! We ended the day with everyone catching plenty of nice fish and a bag full of fish meat (promptly cleaned by Capt. Scott) for the fryer when we got home. It was a great trip. My buddies and my 15 year old son are already planning our next outing with Capt. Scott.
