I’ve been on a lot of charters in the Pacific, Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic.  Monty is right up there with the best captains I’ve seen. We had to modify our trip from a full day Gulf Stream trip due to some big storms in the area. Monty adapted to that and we combined trolling around the storms with some bottom fishing.  We didn’t catch a huge number of fish but we caught fish, and it wasn’t from a lack of trying by Monty and his first mate Ben.  They pulled out all the stops, sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate.  I know that given semi-normal conditions we would’ve hammered them. But that’s why they call it fishing and not catching!

Had a great day on the water with Capt. Monty!  In our party of six, we had five beginner fisherman under seventeen. Monty was patient and helpful to them all and made it an awesome experience that none of them will ever forget. The conditions were as calm as I have ever seen. We had a full moon so the fishing was pretty slow until the end of the day. I originally booked a 3/4 day trip but when the bite picked up later in the afternoon Monty allowed us to extend the trip and all of the kids brought home at least one fish.
