6 of us took our first ever 3 hour afternoon near shore shark fishing trip with Cptn Jeff and first mate Caleb and had a great time.  The boat and crew were great and we had a beautiful sunset coming in.  Not more than 5 minutes after arriving at our spot, we had a good one on the line but the bite went quiet after that with only 2 whiting and one small bull shark in the boat.  That’s why they call it fishing instead of catching I guess.  We were kept entertained by a couple of dolphin that were around the boat the entire time we were anchored.  Thanks for an enjoyable evening on the water.

The captain was great, they called in advance to make us aware of rough seas! Told us if we waited a few hours they should be calm. They where perfect! Nice and calm, we all had a great time, we each caught fish. Bonita and Spanish mackerel. No bragging rights, The water was just not warm enough for the big fish yet! I was there for Classes, so did not get to pick peak times. But!! I would do it Again! Boat was roomy and clean. Great family Boat (toilet down below Lady`s) My Wife and Son Enjoyed the Dolphins. Had a great time catching a ton of sea bass.  Captain Jeff knew exactly where to put us and Seth was on his game as thtte where 6 if us and we were pulling up fish as soon as our bait hit the bottom 😁

We took three grandchildren:  Ages 8-12.  All three caught shark and had a great experience with Stephan on Gully Gal.  Captain Stephan was excellent with the kids helping them fish and teaching them a few good tips..this was our first trip with the kids.  It was an awesome trip and one they will remember for years to come.

This was a fantastic experience. Both Captain Jeff and First Mate Seth were first rate professionals, knowledgeable and very fine gentlemen. Our group had a total blast and when we are all back in Hilton Head, we will absolutely be heading out on True Grits again. I highly recommend this boat and its crew.
