I booked a trip with Captain Peek however, I have never met, nor have I every spoken to the man.  I arrived at the pickup point looking for the man in the photo .  I was met by another man asking me who I was looking for ,when I told him Mike Peek he said “I work for him and will be taking you”.  Jeb, the guide, then ask me what I was fishing for.  I had left this information with Mike Peek.  I don’t mind
a different guide but I have Always know who was taking me fishing and had a phone number before I got to the pier.  I would recommend Jeb, he did a great job, I’d book with him again.

Mike is an old school local that knows what’s going on. We spent an hour drag-netting bait which ended up fun because there were dolphins coming up to the boat. That was a great experience for us all.

When we started fishing we were on big trout immediately. We didn’t waste any time getting fish in the boat. As the dad of the group I was enjoying watching my family enjoy themselves and me not having to be the “guide” for once!  Mike was quick to keep us fishing with lines in the water. My 10 year old son caught a beautiful slot redfish and my 8 year old daughter spent almost 10 minutes bringing in a bull red. My wife caught big trout like we were bluegill fishing at the lake back home.

Time was well managed by Mike. If we come back for more we will definitely book a trip again with Mike Peek. It will probably be the highlight of our vacation with memories we won’t forget.

Captain Mike put me on a really nice redfish first thing in the morning. He has a strong knowledge of the area and will work to find you a spot where the fish are biting. I plan on using him as my go to guide when I return to Gulf Shores. Also, he was very patient and thorough in explaining fishing techniques when you are targeting a certain species or using a particular bait set up.
