Doug and his son where great to go out with! Was my son’s first fishing trip in the ocean. Started the day a little slow, but captain Doug and his son, Jon Jon where very knowledgeable and got us on the fish! Great day catching red fish and mahi mahi! Highly recommend!

We wanted to take out a charter during the holiday season and avoid the bigger crowds of the larger fishing boats where you go out with other large groups. We got what we were expecting and more! Caught our limit with snapper and have plenty of fish for the freezer in the coming weeks. Choppier waters were coming so we made a decision to reduce the trip from 8 hour to 6 hour. Appreciate the captain’s transparency in making the decision with us. We had a great time and really appreciate the level of openness and friendliness of Doug and crew.

Great times with the family. We will def be back on our next trip to the area. Captain Doug is a go getter. Hell make sure you have an awesome experience and I can’t forget to mention Theresa. Rave Review. I’m sure the charter business is competitive and most of these captains are good guys to go with, but this right here is the real deal. Doug is a 4th generation Pensacola native Captain, with over a dozen charter boats under his belt, and the know how to go with it. With Son John crewing, there was really nothing to do but enjoy the ride, and we were having a great ride before the fish started hitting. However, pulling in a cooler full of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish, with a good sized Red Drum for a cameo photo op, obviously made it that much better. We were looking at going offshore to look for deep water species but with wind advisories and Doug’s experience, we stayed closer to shore and did just fine without getting thrown around as much. The Marina Mascot, a Great Blue Heron named Bob, met us on return and paid close attention during Doug’s rapid fillet session. We’d do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!!

Awesome trip, Capt Doug got my family on exactly what we asked for. Also John John was the best deck hand we could ask for.  Red Snapper and Mahi Mahi limited out on both.
